The Impact of Bibles for Africa Project
John Ombiero
School Principal
“I take this opportunity to thank all the donors who have stretched their hands to support the entire Advent Hope family. We are grateful for the number of orphans you support. Families are assisted and the Gospel is shared. As a teacher, I have benefited mentally, physically, and spiritually after working in the school for 8 years. We receive countless spiritual materials, especially Bibles, which help us grow and prepare us for the end times. Thank you, and God bless you for supporting us.”
Orphan
“I am incredibly grateful to you for taking my granddaughter into the orphanage. Life was miserable, even getting food has been difficult, because the land is exceedingly small. Thank you for helping my granddaughter!”
Widow
“I am almost one hundred years old. Life was hard before coming to this home. But now I am much stronger. Thank you for what you are doing. May God give you more years to serve others.”
Nancy
Orphan
Nancy was found on the streets by a seventy-two-year-old lady when she was just a month old. The old lady struggled to bring her up due to her helpless situation. When the lady heard of the Advent Hope Ministry project, she brought Nancy over to receive better care. Today Nancy is safe in the girls’ orphanage.
Community lady
Thank you for the bible.
Jerusha
Orphan
Jerusha is a grade two girl at Advent Eden school. She joined the school at kindergarten level. Her first years at school were particularly challenging given her childhood experiences and poor background. Today, the same girl who had a challenge with reading, is a champion in her class. Thanks to God, and the teachers at school. Thank you to the donors for supporting the work in Kenya to continue seeing more lives changed.
Peter
A man from the community
Came to the orphanage one day and he found the children studying their Bibles and reading other spiritual books. After listening for a while, the messages shared touched his heart and he decided to give his heart to Jesus. He is now preparing for baptism. We thank God for moments like this, when we realize that the children at the orphanage are not only growing themselves, but are becoming witnesses for Jesus. Thank you for your support!
Lillian
Orphan
Lost her mother when she was in grade 8. Left without a parent, she was introduced to a difficult life of being overworked and mistreated. Advent Hope has come to learn of her situation and will bring her to the girls’ orphanage.
Elijah
Bible Worker
A bible worker sharing a blanket with a needy family.
Kennedy
A man from the community
The man in the picture got burned by some people because of politics in Kenya. Advent Hope Ministry has assisted him since that tragedy befell him. He is thankful to God for all the assistance accorded him.
Damaris
Widow
Damaris is a 70 year old widow who never attended church before. Her family, and the family of her husband were both pagan. Recently, Damaris visited her neighbor and bumped into an ongoing Bible study by one of the Bible workers. She decided to accept Christ into her life. Damaris’ story reminds us of the words of Jesus in Luke 15:10, “there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” What boundless joy will it be when at last, we shall know the impact of our labor in Africa!
Mary
Orphan
A promising grade 6 orphan. Her spiritual growth and academic improvement points to an enormous potential and brighter future.
Ruth
Orphan
Ruth is a grade 3 pupil. It has been three years since she joined the orphanage. Her mother died when she was one year old and the grandmother took care of her, but her age made it difficult for the grandmother to take care of the little girl. Today, Ruth is safe at our orphanage. She is a good and humble girl whose future is promising.
Norah
Orphan
Norah was a child of a single mother. She lost her mother from an unexpected death.
Rose
Orphan
Rose, a grade 4 girl lost both parents. She came to the orphanage last year. She is happy to have joined a safe home where everyone freely studies the Bible. Rose enjoys studying the Bible to know God’s truth for herself.
Advent Hope Girls
Orphans
These are some of the orphans in our orphanage, happily reading the Bible. When they first came to the orphanage, they knew nothing from the Bible. But since being here, majority of them have come to know about Jesus. It was an extraordinary joy to see them getting baptized last year. “We are thankful to the donors,” they said, “for their great support both materially and spiritually.” Thank you for helping to change the lives of these precious children.
Advent Hope Girls
Orphans
These children are sharing the word of God from the Bible, and they wanted to know more about God’s truth.
